Last night....

I went to a Stake leadership meeting and just wanted to write down my thoughts on what was said and what I felt. Can I just say I love this gospel!! I truly know that our Stake YW leaders are called of God, that they pray for guidance and inspiration to know what our girls, each one individually needs. I inspire to be more like them, to have the spirit with me as I teach my girls and to be guided DAILY to lead these girls on the direction that they need to be but not only that to teach them to have the desire and want to be the best they can be.

I was truly struck with the power of the spirit when I heard that as a leader I need to "create" spiritual experiences for these girls so that they can feel the spirit first and then "point out" the feeling of the spirit when it is there, when I know they are feeling it. This helps them to facilitate and understand these two powerful facts and be able to witness miracles and have an identity of who they are....hence a daughter of God, and of a God who truly loves them.

Once they truly grasp this knowledge of thier identity, they can better be equipped and have the tools and understanding of the gospel, to know and then live the standards, to know they are not perfect that they will make mistakes but that there is repentance through the atonement and last that they each can recieve thier own revelation and be able to recieve answers to thier prayers.

This is all in better words to strengthen thier relationship with a loving Heavenly Father and a saviour Jesus Christ.

They also talked a little bit about modesty and how this affects our inner self and how our self esteem is better and closer to our Heavenly Father when we dress with him in mind. Modesty is at the center of being pure and chaste, both in thought and in deed. And because it guides and influences our thoughts, behavior, and decisions, modesty is at the core of our character. Our clothing, our hair, makeup, jewelry, it all reflects who we are, HOW we feel about ourselves and WHO we want to be. I feel that since I am so into fashion, that as long as I am not "addicted" or spending money I don't have and that I can balance it...this is really just a part of my personality and not my identity. These two are seperate to me and I feel I do good at this balance. I have really fashionable trendy shoes that I paid 5 dollars for and not 1000 dollars...!heehee

I am SOO grateful for this calling and better yet for such great examples of Modest, Loving, beautiful women I have to look up to, who truly live thier life showing the YW identities that they can have, I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and who loves these girls.....and these are GREAT girls!!
