Something FUN..!!

I saw these cool feathers over at Hobby Lobby a while back in the colors I am doing my "craft" side of the pantry...remember that? I am almost done with it, just some painting to do and some cute labeling...but had some time on my hands so I decided to make pens...I think they are super sass-ey!

So they match these fabric covered cork board squares I put up....FUN!!
Here is the "food" side of the pantry....thats been done a while now...it's alot of room more than what this pic shows and I LOVE IT!!

This has been the longest project I have ever worked on...besides a nursery...lol! I think it's because nobody sees it....but I will hopefully be done before summer...I know but that gives me awhile..heehee! and time AND money....y'know I am on a budget..lol!

Bow Organization...!

Bella has seriously accumalated a ton of bows and clippies.......so she needed something big enough to hold ALL of them! I got a framed cork board at Target and used my spray adhesive, stuck some cute coordinating paper on it, (actually in this pic, the paper looks kinda pink but actually is red!) used some black furniture tacks and voila! A super cute bow holder!! I noticed I haven't even put all her bows on yet...! Can ya guess what color her room is...yep black and red...with damask, zebra and toile prints..LOVE IT!
I am so into big huge flowers, actually have been for awhile...maybe because they also look really cute on her hats..!
Gotta love pink and brown..!

GoT bLiNg FoR ChRiStMaS?

I guess my girls are way spoiled (or I have started something I am not sure I want to call "traditional"lol!!) when they come to me and want jewelry to go with the holiday not to mention appliqued shirts and painted holiday toe nails.....I am not so sure I can get that all done by this Friday.....(I know `some of you are saying "SURE you can Nicole!)----whatever!LOL! These bells we got at Walmart except I wish I looked at them more closely because they didn't have a little hook only the string so I HAD to use it that way...Sabrina has jingle bell earrings we got last year, but I have seen those around too....cute..!

I had to do some bling for some nieces for presents....gotta love these! I haven't been in the "blinging" mood lately..but these turned out cute! cheaper making them than spending $50 for one! I went ahead and made some for Bella too!

Can't wait to break out the labels and add buckets and baskets....
These pics don't do the justice...it actually is alot bigger than it shows...

I love the shutters and natural light in here....I am so glad we kept those in...its sooo pretty!!

So far this is what I have...obviously I need to pay a visit to Kirklands or Home Goods for some more knicknacks....(oops my O is falling down..)

Young Women Birthday idea...

So I finally got around to taking a pic of this birthday chair cover...I am in charge of the birthdays in my YW and wanted to make it a little more special for them and so I put this together....you know how I love me some zebra print and of course the pink boa! I just measured the chair and sewed the sides together..I sewed on the boa around the sides.
Simple and Adorable!! The girls love it, and I hear they really love the glitter cups...WHEW, I am soo glad they approve...heehee!!

Halloween Glitter Cups...

I actually made another one at the beginning of October, and I didn't take a picture...darn because it was alot cuter than these ones.
I added some bling on the spider....cute!

Halloween T's for my girls....

My kids at thier elementary school are not allowed to dress up in their costumes for school, understandably HOWEVER they are allowed to wear, black and orange!! So of course I had to create my own thing and this is what I came up with....

The rhinestones I added because I LOVE bling and recently learned how to do it! Cambrie's is the same and right now am working on the bows for their hair...I still have another week, so I have actually been quite busy working on doing a few alterations for Sabrina's Candy Corn Witch costume (it's quite short and goes off the shoulders she ended up having to buy the "tween" size.....darn those immodest costumes...HELLO don't these people know that you don't just do away with modesty just because it's Halloween..!!) GGEESSHHH!!
And I have been making Bella's costume....YES I know, but I just couldn't get myself to buy the lady bug one at the store...seriously not cute and girlie enough!

It's been really fun, though...the wings are giving me some issues but I will be done with it tonight sometime after my kids get home, (lucky me it's a half day and usually I am STOKED about it, but today is a REALLY bad day for half day!!ugg) and I help one of my YW with her personal progress project, help another one of my YW with a halloween costume, go to THREE parent/teacher conferences(lucky for me I didn't have to meet with any of R.J.'s teachers, he is doing SO good with school) and then attend a Stake YW meeting tonight! By the way I have to finish her costume because tomorrow night is our Ward Trunk R Treat....! Oh yeah I can't forget the committee needs our Hot Dog Cart for that AND I have to set up our Beehive Booth.....There is actually more to put down but I am tired of typing....heehee

Anyhow such is life....Right?!

Like Mother Like Daughter....!

Sabrina wanted to do some crafts to decorate her room, so off we went to the dollar store again and picked up this halloween bucket. She got some black glitter and did the face of it and then added the ribbons and a tag that says, "Take one IF you DARE!" She put some candy in the inside....very cute and creative!
She also helped me to put this cute banner together......I think we work great as a team...what do you think??!! She is so cute and always find the fun in everything she does, something so small as these two little crafts she made into such a huge deal, calling her friends and telling them and then so excited to show them......what a cutie!!

I am OFFICIALLY done decorating for Halloween....yippy!

I have a ton of these grapevine wreaths that have been stored away for a few years when I use to have a booth at Coomers (which used to be where Quilted Bear was) when tole painting was "in" back in the day...(remember all the crafty "WOOD" painted stuff...heehee!) So I took one out and spray painted it black, added the webs, can't forget the tulle and then added a few spideys...
I was gonna add a black boa, but didn't have enough to go around and DIDN'T want to make another trip..!

So this is the "revised" pic of my kitchen table, do you see a difference? yep I added my river rocks to the metal vase holder....

Can You tell what I added here....?
Yep...this totally blinged out skull head on top of tule on my cake platter..I wanted to add the cake dome but his head was toooo big..darn but owell. and this cute orange sign and the river rocks again around my black wire bowl holding the pumpkins and also the skulls and river rocks in my vase with the black spooky tree...

I also got this sign at Kirkland's (LOVE this place BTW) and I glittered the black dots, I am not so sure I am the queen of Halloween though I have seen way better....but I would say DANG close..LOL!

So this means I am ALL done, My hubby was SOOO glad to hear that.....sorry sweetie! But he added that he loved how I make everything SO fun and make our home a SCHNAZZY place to be in and it's something he really loves about me.....ahhhhhh!

Making crafts makes a HUGE mess!!

But it's well worth it!!! So I was at Hobby Lobby....again (no, really it's my home..!!could you imagine, oh I'd be in absolute heaven!!) and saw a glittered broomstick that I thought was totally cute, but a little big and a little too "wood" crafty for my taste, so I went to the Dollar Tree and found this broomstick, although plain. I broke out my spray paint, glitter, boa, tulle and ribbon, made a cute little tag and voila....my version of a crafty broomstick!!!
Here is my setup on my dining room table...I had to mix a little scary with the traditional look so Colton wouldn't need therapy when he gets older!....("I just can't get these images out of my head counselor...!!) heehee

I love the frames, I also added a little boa piece to the tops of them...fun!

I have a couple more things to add, then IAMDONE!!! I told myself if I didn't get it done by this weekend...this was all the Halloween decorating I am doing......gotta start thinkn...Christmas.....geesh!!

Cute Halloween Pens....!

I saw this idea off of Tipjunkie.....but she used fabric...I think way cute, but wanted to add my signature to them!
This one I hot glued ribbon around the pen using two different ribbons, then added a black boa piece on top using hot glue....cute cute!

This one is like the pom pom pen using fabric, instead I used coordinating ribbon....(squeel with delight!!)

This one is using tulle.......LOVE tulle!!

I plan on doing these for my visiting teachers and teachers at my kids school for a Halloween gift.....FUN!! Sabrina wants to do some too. Colton thought of doing them but gluing a skull head(ones we saw at Walmart..) on top.....that's cute, really there's soooo much you can do.......I swear I need more time in my day!!! Let me know if any of you crafty ladies get some put together...I want to see. Also check out lifeasamoma@21.blogspot.com, her fabric pens turned out really cute too...! She has such cute bows that she sells too!!

By the way thanks so much for all your very sweet comments....I am glad to be your inspiration because you are all MY inspiration...(giddygiddy!)

Fun Halloween project(s)!

I LOVE all sorts of ribbon, I think that I could actually have my own ribbon store, except I don't have my ribbon organized at all, it's stuffed in a big plastic tin labeled-- Ribbon!! LOL!
I need to get a bin for all my tulle.....I have so much of it..!

So I have seen this banner at my favorite scrapbook store, except it was probably a little different and then I saw this totally cute font off of allsorts.typepad.com that you can just download for free! (Her site is SO incredibly fun and vibrant..!) She also has done some banners too...
Got my letters from Hobby Lobby, except I wanted to do SPOOKY but they didn't have the O's...darn it!

lovin my childproof locks...heehee

So I modpodged paper on some and did glitter on the others....( my friend Nicole Curtis did hers all in glitter...check them out at jncurtisfamilyblog.blogspot.com...they are super cute!)
The final project....except It looks a little crowded in the pic and you can't really see all the tulle, but really in real life it's not....!

Fabric Flower Tutorial....(I almost got it perfect..dang!)

UMMM ok this has become something that I have wanted to do for awhile, as most of my projects, but no really because I have so much fabric and I like to "embellish" everything I decided to give this a go and include a tutorial! (I promise Allison to add more pictures step by step..heehee!)

Materials:
Template ( I hand drew mine on cardstock)
fabric
scissors
small piece of ribbon
sewing machine or needle and thread
cover button kit
fabric glue

1. Cut out the 4 of the smaller flower and 2 of the larger flower.

2. Cut into each flower where the dotted areas are on my template above...
3. Stack the 2 larger ones on top of eachother and then fold over the 4 smaller ones in half, overlapping them similar to the way I have done here...
and here.....
4. Sew a square making sure you have gotten all ends of flowers... 5. Following the directions on the back of the cover button kit
6. Cut out a circle to fit over mold...7. Firmly press button shell down on fabric into mold...8. Tuck fabric into button shell....9. Place back over tucked fabric; press down firmly10. with pusher to snap into place ...

Pull out button and VOILA! Cute Button!! Glue on to top of flower...(in the middle) oops forgot pic...
Glue on ribbon with fabric glue....
Add your bobby pin like this...(upside down)

And there you go, a really cute simple hair accesorry...I have made several that I am going to use on bags, shoes shirts and belts...totally cute and FUN!
