"CREATE"..!

I was working on my FHE packets for a group that I am in and so was on lds.org and saw this amazing video called.."CREATE".
I have to say that I have been kind of in a state of being sick of hearing how "crafty" I am, I almost feel like sometimes that should just be my name or what people think I am all about! (did I just say that!?) And I know most people are being really super nice BUT It can be very sad sometimes and almost lonesome thinking I may be the only one..(when I KNOW I am not!) Just the last couple of days of being overwhelmed with some NOT SO NICE ladies I thought of keeping my "creativity"under my belt for awhile and not letting it out there for all to see...praying to know how to handle this, that maybe I do intimidate others to think that they are not "crafty" or that I take it to an extreme that they feel they could never do.....boy did Heavenly Father tell me differently! This video is so true! Everyone has a creative side...whatever it may be...and you should be cultivating that creativity! Instead of being intimidated or jealous, BE INSPIRED! I truly am and get inspired every day from people everywhere around me....I can see people's creativity when maybe they don't! I think that if people knew my life, what I have been through, that I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth that they would think differently. I HAD to be extremely self reliant.

I again am not trying to throw a pity party, nor trying to justify who I am....but believe me when I say I am MORE than just "CRAFTY"!! (I am thinking out loudly today..!)

I love your blog, there is a girl here in our ward in Germany who your style reminds me of (I have told her you could be long lost sisters, she has fab style too!) Anyway...I think you are super fabulous, so what if you are "crafty", go with your bad self! You inspire me with all of your great ideas, and the obvious way in which you love your family by sharing your talents. It is sad when others feel a need to label another to make themselves feel better. We are all blessed with different gifts and talents, please do not hide yours. (that is just what the advisary would want you to do.)Take care and keep crafting!

I am glad that you found that video! I am sad to think people aren't being nice to you... give me their names and I will take care of it! ;) I have no idea how anyone can NOT be inspired by you, I come to your blog TO BE inspired by all of your many talents. I do think your "crafty" and I am continuously amazed by all your darling ideas and creations. But I am more in awe of your role as a mother and wife. I think just by the things I have read and seen with what you have shared that you have a really neat family. You are a really fun and awesome mom and it is all over your kids's faces what they think of you. It seems like you and your hubby are amazing together and I think you as a person are amazing in many more areas. Do not hide your talents but anyone who can't see ALL of them is just absolutely blind. :)

OUCH!!!! That got me scared for a minute......

I will KICK YOUR BUTT if you let a couple of rude people ruin it for the rest of us that LOVE what you do!!!! I am always so excited to check your blog to see what fun new things you have in store for us next!!!!! I also LOVE to give handouts when I teach in Relief Society and to my ladies I visit each month, teachers, etc.....

When people get jealous they say things that aren't really true to help themselves feel better......

You have such an amazing gift.....SHARE IT SISTER!!!

KEEP UP THE FANTABULOUS CRAFTINESS!!!!!

My sister in law showed me your blog because I am also in YW's. I love checking and finding new posts (and not for just YW's stuff). You are so creative. I am not one of those very creative people but I do the best I can with what I know. That's why I love to see what all those people are doing. But I can tell that you are much more. And you inspire me to be a better mom. Thanks for all you do and share with the rest of us!!

As a stranger who always looks to your blog for ideas, and loves everything you do, please don't keep your talents to yourself!!! As for those ladies who find negativity...they will find it anywhere because they are looking for it. Keep up your fun bolg!!!!!!

I stalk your blog for so many reasons....I think you are fun and witty and yes "crafty", but my definition of craty is someone that inspires me to create something new and fun. I do understand though some people take our ability to make something as a reason for them to never try and that is annoying as heck. I don't want to be surronded by people who want me to make everything for every occasion I want to be surrounded by other people that love to create.

Hope you don't mind that I have visited your blog here and there as I saw you featured on on "tip junkie". Don't let what others think limit you! You are crafty and cute with all you create and do but I don't even know you and can tell you are an amazing mom and woman. Plus... I have been lurking because I am the young womens president in my ward and could use new tips and ideas. I deffinately know what it is like to have people see one thing about you and think "thats it" that that's all there is to you. You know better. I love that video! It is beautiful and a confirmation of who we are and can be. Don't hide your talents! By the way...my name is Sunshine and now I am not an anonymous "lurker".

Oh friend, I am so sorry that some people do not appreciate (envy) your creativity. God gives everyone different talents and abilities, so people should invest time in developing their own gifts as opposed to hating on those who have. You are creative, and that is a great thing, but it is not all I get from reading your blog. You have a servant's heart. The biggest thing I take from your posts is always that you love and cherish your family and the church. You are an inspiration to so many of us and the sharing of our creative endeavors and stories makes all of us better. Keep your chin up and keep up the good work!

Nicole,
I obvoiusly only "know" you through my sweet Grandma. She always is talking about the cute Mom and Wife that you are. Everything that I ever hear about you is so amazing. I feel like I know you personally and I know we would be friends. I just wanted to tell you that I look at your blog every couple of days as you are one of those people who inspire me. Keep being who you are. You have an amazing personality that keeps people striving to be more. Don't let others bring you down. I also love that video clip. I am glad that you found it. Good luck.

I enjoy visiting your blog. It helps me still feel connected although we live far away now. You inspire and motivate me. Most of our friendship was built doing something creative - stamping, tole painting, etc. I hope you continue to do all the same things you have been doing. You are a great Mom, friend, crafter, cook...the list goes on. You can tell that you magnify all your roles. Keep developing your talents and inspiring those of us around you who need it and appreciate it!!!

I just wanted to say hear, hear to all the other comments. I am a newby to your blog and have loved all your ideas. You are very talented! There are some people like that in my ward and it is a downer. It totally makes you question what you put on your blog (I have been in the same boat). I have finally realized that I am who I am, I love to craft and bake and design...thats what I post. Everyone has different talents, it would be a waste to not share!

I appreciate all the things you share! I am a YW Pres. in my ward and your ideas have inspired me...I love the gumball analagy for the Virtue value...I will be doing that! Thanks for all the ideas!

You don't know me, but the first thing I thought when I ran across your blog from tip junky was "What a good mom." You seem like a wonderful mom and do your best at making them happy. while you have the talent (and I say talent because I lack it) at "creating" things and making them better, I am sure that is the kind of person you are.. making the lives of those you come into contact with just that... better.
