Girl's camp part1......

Ok so I am WaY behind on this blogging thing, facebook and email but have been so busy getting ready for girls camp...! I was in charge of making journals for the girls(30) and coming up with a craft! I only have one pic of the journals, bu I made two different kinds, they were really cute and the necklace is from Sugardoodle.net......this one was a little difficult but was amazed that the girls did theres really cute! Only because it was hardto align the letters perfectly and hammer the stamps enough to make an indention!! But the girls loved them anyways...
Here are some of the girls that had to do thier hike certification....
and here is our secretary, pres, me and our camp director....this was on the first day so my hair was done...heehee!
I'll post more pics soon....

Primary Organization....

In our Primary the kids are challenged to memorize the scripture for that month, if they succeed they get a prize...My kids love this so when I was in primary I started to print off the scriptures (theideadoor.com) for thier church binders(I will post about these soon!) so they could look over them during sacrament. I also put them on our pantry door so that they will always be there for them to look at..and so mom knows whats going on. I also try my best to do FHE around the primary theme for the month as well. Also you can see in the pic that I have an organizing chart for school...thanks to meckmom.com. I found her several years ago and love all of her organization ideas..she is a genious and plus has printables CUTE printables I might add to use for yourself! Each child (in grade school) has the responsibility to look at thier class newsletter and arrange the velcro pics to the right day...this consists of what kind of lunch they are wanting..hot or cold(this makes them look at the lunch calendar ahead of time) if they have P.E., art, library, computer, scouts, act.days, baseball ect. I have added a few to fit the needs of my kids that she didn't have. This has really taught my kids responsibility and the girls know especially if they have to wear tennies or not....a huge drama topic in our house!! This really works for us! It also has friend time that they can choose two days out of the week, that is available to play with their friends....no more asking mom every single day!! WHEW!! Anyhow thought I would share this..!

Cute General Conference Packet by email....

If anyone would be interested I have a 14-page packet for General Conference this coming up weekend that I got from a friend by email. It is all updated with the new prophet, new apostle, etc. It has all kinds of things to keep kids busy and focused during Conference, including fill in the blank, color the tie, Bingo, word search, match the picture and name of the apostles, coloring, etc.

The second attachment is a card game to help kids learn the names of the General Authorities, using symbols like an oak leaf for Elder Oaks, a red cross for Elder Nelson, etc.

Since I am not sure how to upload it as a post, leave a comment with your email, and I'd be happy to send it over....it is really awesome!

Church Helps

Here is an idea that I saw a long time ago and did actually do this for my kids so I wanted to put this up again to get me going on putting more file folder games in the binders I already have, since my kids have gotten older and some of the games are kinda beat up. This keeps them quiet during sacrament meeting, actually you still kind of hear velcro as they play, but hey that's alot better than talking, giggling, moving around, hitting, tickling.....well yeah.....so my kids are NOT perfect, I am sure mine are the ones keeping OTHER kids quiet as they watch them...HAHA!
