{Felt BiRtHdAy Crown...!} for Cambrie

Saw this in my files and have always wanted to make one.....Cambrie's 8th birthday is coming up and wanted her to have a fun hat to wear at school on her special day...I'll take pics when she wears it....it is really cute! Can you believe it's all made out of felt....and really no sewing required except I did sew around the circle to make it a little cuter.... It's fun to see her excited about getting baptized soon....I am still looking for her dress, got her scriptures and I know what I am doing for props.....can't wait!!

Happy Birthday Carebear...!

Saturday we had Cambrie's 7th birthday party....and it turned out sooo cute...and super easy. I actually thought it might be some hard work with the kids and the kitchen...(like throwing food or something!) but they were almost TOO good!! All of the kids had soo much fun making thier own stuff it was great, also that I had some older helpers too! I had "Ratatuille" playing on the tv....this helped while some of the kids got done with thier food first....First we did personal pan pizzas, pepporoni and cheese of course which "Chef Cambrie" demonstrated to everyone first! Then they all helped to make thier fruit shakes while the pizzas cooked in the oven. After that before the party I had made muffin size cupcakes for them to frost and decorate, we sang happy birthday to Cambrie and then she opened presents...you can tell her favorite was her nintendo ds..and a game! There is just something special when you see your child SO excited about something and not to mention a little "all about me" time...which we all need. This was the invitation to the party....
a cute recipe card I just put together...found the clipart online!
She looks like she COULD be a chef..lol! except a SaSsY one!

Cambrie helped me to put the ingredients together before the party!
She is demonstrating what to do....AAHH and the "Bakers in Training" are following her instructions..!Time to blow out the candles...Wow!! she was thrilled to get this little gift..nintendo dsThis was her little "thank you" cookbook with some of her favorite recipes..she really enjoyed helping me put this together!Except while it got bounded some of the words got cut off...no big deal you can still read it though! I guess I will know for next time..!
She drew all the pics herself...!

Cute little Chefs!

This was thier take home "Pan" which inlcuded the baker pan, cookbook, cookie cutter, silicone cupcake liner, wooden spoon, whisk, scraper, "Chef Cambrie's Dough...(playdough) and thier apron and hat....FuN!!
I love you little girl and hope I helped to make your day special!!!

My FiRsT Apron...!

Okay I just love LoVe LOVE deadlines....no seriously it's the ONLY reason I am able and GET things done, otherwise it just stays on my "brain" checklist!!!

Cambrie is having her "Chef Cambrie's Kitchen" party to celebrate her 7th birthday and so this was my "deadline" to finally make this ABSOLUTELY cute thing....but remember folks I AM NOT A SEAMSTRESS, I am NOT AN EXPERT, I have NEVER TAKEN SEWING CLASSES, and DON'T ZOOM IN...because you will definetly be disappointed when you see all my mistakes..well only to the "SEW EXPERTS" out there!lol!!

So of course you take a deep breath and tell yourself you can do this like -A ZILLION times...chow down on some MiLkDuDs (baby!) and attempt to do this with no pattern....so yes during and afterwards you realize what you should do differently and hope that the next one comes out perfectly....well almost..!!

I am hoping that somehow somewhere I inspire someone to take that leap........

I might add .....BIG LEAP....!!heehee!

Date with Cambrie!

Cambrie wanted me to come to school for lunch and bring her favorite...McDonald's..(not mine!)
She is so charasmatic and very photogenic...don't ya think?
This is one of her little friends she plays with at school...cute!
I love how she can play with anyone...boys or girls, Cambrie just wants to have FUN!
Me and my little girl...
Having Reading time, I love her teacher Miss Mead she is great and so creative and Fun! Cambrie loves this time when she is read a story! I can't believe how big she is getting already 6 yrs. old. I remember when she was just a little baby, even then she loved having me read her books and holding her carebears that's why it became her nickname..I love you carebear, you still light up my day! Thanks for being so FUN and making me laugh all the time!

Today was Cheer and Football picture day for all our kids and it was so fun but SOOO HOT! I think all the kids are so amazing to be able to cheer and play football out in the heat with very minimal complaints....WOW!
The outfits that the girls are wearing are not their actual cheer uniforms as they have not come in yet.....bummer..but they still looked so good and man they knew their cheers! I guess almost every night for 3 weeks of practice paid off....WHEW! This is their first year doing cheer and I thought they would like to have something to do while the boys played football, it's hard work juggling it all but they love it so much!
